Trigger point injections are an easy and safe technique that can be performed in an office. A fine needle is gently passed into the trigger point. Medicated solution will be injected through the needle into the trigger point. Sometimes the needle trajectory itself breaks trigger point. Therapeutic trigger point injections can be performed to relieve pain or to facilitate physical therapy immediately before scheduled therapy, or between physical therapy sessions.
