Median nerve decompression by injecting local anaesthetic with steroid around it, just before the nerve enters carpal tunnel. Sometimes bi-weekly injections might be required 3–4 times. In severe and resistant situations, division of the flexor retinaculum to decompress median nerve might be needed. Overall, the response to either of treatment is fairly satisfactory.
